Xtra naturally delivered five puppies, four living in the early morning hours of 11/21/23. We have three girls and one boy! The litter theme is based on the music of Paul McCartney, one of my favorite musicians.
Xtra needs no introduction. I know no dog is perfect, but she sure comes close. A Top 20 Border Collie, Top 5 NOHS, herding titled, and my ride or die. She is my magic girl, my best friend, and partner in crime. She is sound, beautiful, and unquestionably Border Collie. Xtra is a true partner-type dog, smart and biddable, and easy to live with. Structurally, I appreciate her beautiful breed-typical movement, strong angulation, and typy silhouette. After a brief break for motherhood, we plan to pursue higher levels of herding, as well as some other sports, in 2024. http://www.elementbordercollies.com/xtra.html
Zuma is an exciting young dog who, in just a few select appearances in the show ring, has made quite the splash. Already a specialty and NOHS Best in Show winner before two years of age, he is the perfect balance of strong and athletic. I love his typy outline, powerful movement, and beautiful dark face. He has been a wonderful house guest for the last month, and I cannot speak more highly of his temperament, drive, and biddability. He’s just an all-around good boy, very willing to please, good work ethic, and a great off switch. I had the opportunity to start him on sheep during his visit, and he shows great potential for herding as well. And many thanks to Katelyn Rosilez and her family for all you’ve done to make this match possible.
