FAQ
How much are your puppies?
Our puppies are $2500, regardless of sex, color, or show/pet quality. Pet puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts on limited AKC registration, which allows for full participation in all AKC events outside of conformation. Show puppies are sold on co-ownership only, with full AKC registration. All puppies sold on contract with a health guarantee. We do give a $500 discount to junior handlers under the age of 18.
Do you take deposits?
No, we do not accept deposits. I place puppies according to who the best home is for them, not by pick order on a list. If you are interested in a puppy from us, please feel free to reach out via email (or private message on our Facebook page) and fill out our puppy questionnaire. If you have questions, great! We love questions and are more than happy to talk with you at length about our dogs!
Can I pick my puppy?
I know that many prospective puppy buyers have a preference for coat color, eye color, etc., and given the choice, would choose those things over many other criteria. However, my first responsibility is to your puppy; it is of paramount importance to me that every puppy I produce go to a home that suits their physical, mental, and emotional needs. For this reason, I will be choosing which puppy goes to which home by 8 weeks of age (puppies generally will go home with you at 9-10 weeks). If you have an extreme preference to a certain puppy, I will definitely take that into consideration. I pick first based on temperament, then conformation (how the puppy is built).
Some people may think that it's crucial for their puppy to have a certain marking or color, but color will be a short-lived fad if that puppy doesn't have a compatible personality and drive for your home. As their breeder, and the person who has spent the most time with the litter, I know the puppies better than anyone. For example, if you are looking for a therapy dog prospect, it is my responsibility that I do not send you home with my highest energy puppy. If you have three young children and a yard full of small animals, I need to send you my puppy with the lowest herding drive.
I know this may seem a bit unorthodox, but I promise when you meet your puppy, you WILL fall in love. You will see the precious little spot on their toe, and the adorable way they flop into your arms and lick your hand, and you will be sold.
How often do you have puppies available?
Because our dogs are primarily pets and competition dogs, and live in our home, we do not have a large number of animals. We only breed to further the goals of our breeding program, which means we tend to only breed when we wish to keep a dog for ourselves. We aim to breed about once a year... sometimes more, sometimes less. Litter plans will be posted to this page, as well as our Facebook page.
